FILM ACADEMY 2004
DO YOU HAVE AN IDEA FOR A SHORT FILM? EVER WANTED TO APPEAR ON THE 
BIG SCREEN?
IF YOU'RE AGED 13 - 18 YRS YOU COULD WIN THE CHANCE TO TAKE PART IN 
HAVERHILL'S FILM ACADEMY 2004!
Multi@rts is offering 2 teams of young people the chance to make their own film this summer. 
Winners will recieve workshops instoryboarding, filming techniques, lighting, sound recording,
editing and motion graphics to bring their script to life.

The theme for this year's competition is "I read the news today", this will be left to the teams 
to interpret in their own way.Films can be fact or fiction, and of any genre i.e. comedy, 
thriller, costume drama, horror etc..... The only rules are that it has to be filmed on location 
in Haverhilland is no longer than 5 minutes.

Multi@rts will be holding an information event on Thursday 10th June from 4 - 6pm at the 
Multi@rts Studio. Come along to find out more about the competition, get tips and the 
chance to discuss your ideas.

To enter please submit an A4 synopsis/brief outline for your film along with a completed 
coupon which can be found in the Haverhill Weekly News during May and June. 
Entries need to be either handed in to the Weekly News Office on Queens Street or the  
Haverhill Arts Centre Reception.

Winning team members will each recieve a copy of their film, a screening at the Arts Centre, 
and the films will be entered into national film festivals.
